On vehicles fitted with a dynamo, the dynamo rear bearing should be lubricated periodically.
Add two or three drops of engine oil to the bearing through the central hole in the rear end bearing plate
. Do NOT over-oil the bearing, otherwise the commutator may become contaminated.An alternator does not require periodic lubrication. Drive Belt
Check the tension and condition of the drive belt as detailed under 'FAN BELT' heading below.
